Everyone is invited to participate in the great Liturgies of the Church, the various Parish events, and the community gatherings.
And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
-Hebrews 10:24-25
Although we sit in pews, our souls are mystically transported to that one saving act of Christ. The Mass thus requires the yes of faith. To better see the Mass as Christ's Sacrificial Act, we will host a 4 part series on the Holy Mass parts.
-Each session will be accompanied by a meal and we will work to provide child care with activities.
-Everyone is welcome.

Totus Tuus is a summer Catholic youth program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic Faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. The week-long Parish summer catechetical program assists parents and Parishes in the evangelizing and catechizing of youth by supplementing the work they are currently doing.
The methodology, structure, content, and enthusiasm of Totus Tuus are concerned not only with teaching the Faith, but also igniting the hearts of the team members and the young people they encounter.
In addition to providing lunch and supper, the Sandhills Catholic Parishes provide Totus Tuus to her members free of charge. If you would like to contribute in any way, please contact the Parish Office.

In all of our Parish Churches one can find a journal to record the names or initials of lapsed or apostate Catholics. These souls will be lifted up in each weekend Mass.
Many of us wish that someone, whether family or friend, was with us at Mass. St. Monica ached for her own son, St. Augustine, to come home to the Church. Through her intercession we name the people known to have fallen from Faith, or are lukewarm in their Faith; entrusting them to the Grace of God.
We ask for St. Monica and St. Augustine to pray them home to Mother Church. We pray too, that we may have the resolving perseverance of St. Monica and the compassion of St. Augustine to accompany our lapsed & weak loved ones on the journey of Faith. By the Grace of the Father working within us, or working in another, may the Holy Spirit move their hearts to rest in the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.
"Let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." -James 5:20
The term Jubilee denotes a special anniversary, typically every 25 or 50 years. Its name literally comes from the “yobel,” or rams horn used to announce important feasts, such as the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). In Leviticus 25 God established Jubilee years to occur every 50 years. They were special times in which proper relationship was restored with God, with neighbors, and with creation. This would involve the pardoning of debts, the restoration of lands, and a time of rest for the cultivated fields.
In Luke 4:18-19 Christ announces His mission “to proclaim a year favorable to the Lord.” By the year 1300ad special Jubilee or Holy Years were decreed by the Church, fulfilling the Levitical Jubilee’s and in answer to Christ’s call to proclaim such a year. This year, 2025, is the Holy Year of Hope.
During this time the Faithful are urged to make pilgrimages and recite the Indulgence prayers of the Church. As we know, Indulgences cannot be purchased, but are penitential prayers prayed asking God’s Grace to mend the wounds caused by pardoned sins. How to pray in such a manner is explained in the Catechism #1471-1479.
Holy Doors are often used as pilgrimage sites because of Christ’s preaching in Luke 13:22-30 in which Jesus said, “Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.” The Christian life urges us to enter the narrow Way of Heaven, thus a pilgrimage to a Holy Door outwardly reflects our desire to spiritually pass through the narrow Way of Jesus.
